Intermittent Fasting

First time to try intermittent/extended fasting and finished 90+ hours, almost 4 days, with no food but water. I was not sure if my body could handle it but luckily it did.

My purpose was not to lose weight but for the other benefits such as Autophagy, to see how my body will adapt and survive for a long time without food. To make me aware of everything I eat, eat when I'm hungry, and appreciate food more.

My plan was to complete 7 days, but I stopped as I will be on a one-day long trip. I thought it would be safe to stop, but I will give it another try and continue to do intermittent fasting.

There are other ways other than extended fasting, for example, one meal a day (OMAD) which you can eat one meal per day and fast the rest of the time.

As a Muslim, I fast in Ramadan, one month a year but it's different, no food, no water for about 16 hours a day. But, to do a few days of fasting was a challenge and new.

I realized that I was eating many times a day, 3 times as people do, plus snacking.

I felt tired sometimes, not able to sleep especially the first day, waking up tired.
